Delivery and lead time information
- Most products that are in stock will be shipped in 2-4 business days unless otherwise noted in the product details.
- Products with the availability of "Regional" may vary depending on the customer's location. Not all warehouse locations stock all products.
- Specialized glass options and accessories may delay the shipment of a product or purchase. Please contact us for specific shipment estimates.
- Express delivery is available for an additional $45 and will decrease ship time by 3 business days in most instances stated above. Express delivery does not mean you will receive your order overnight.
Skylights For Less will always replace any damaged items in a prompt fashion. Skylights are typically replaced in less than one week, however lead times vary depending on the product or specification. We do ask that you inspect shipments thoroughly upon receipt and prior to signing. Damaged shipments should be refused or received with notation of apparent damage. Details of damage is helpful, but most importantly, noting that damage is recognized helps all parties when settling claims.
When receiving smaller items by UPS/FedEx Ground or US Mail, please inspect for shortages or wrong items and contact us within 24 hours to report damage.
All damages must be reported within 24 hours.
Shipping outside the continental USA
Rates will vary for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and other countries. Most shipments can be done business to business and occasionally, door to door. Door to door delivery can add a considerable amount to freight charges. It is better to arrange for a local business to receive your crate. Contact us for a customized shipping quote.
How will my order be packaged for motor freight shipping?
When your merchandise arrives you can expect the product to arrive on a motor freight carrier. Dealing with a motor freight carrier is definitively different than using UPS or the Postal Service. When your product arrives, expect it to be heavy and bulky. Skylights can generally be handled by a single individual although, VSE models can be quite heavy weighing 50 to 70 pounds each.
Do not expect a motor freight driver to help you unload. They will move your product to the tail of their truck and from that point on, the load is yours to manage. Have some able body friends on hand to help out or whom ever you can recruit.
A driver has been known to be of more assistance if you are to offer them some financial consideration, but this is not always a guarantee. Good luck and be safe in unloading your merchandise.
All orders in Pennsylvania are subject to a state & local sales tax. Expedited shipping charges are also subject to sales tax (Pennsylvania's rules, not ours unfortunately).
