Roof access windows are side-hung to provide easy roof access for repairs, maintenance or in an emergency. They are designed for applications with sloped walls, such as bonus rooms, lofts and upper floor bedrooms where the roof window will be within reach. VELUX roof windows are an energy-efficient way to bring natural light and fresh air into your home. This model includes a ventilation flap that allows fresh air into your home without opening the entire roof window and having to worry about security or bad weather, even while you are away or sleeping.

• Easy roof access for repairs, maintenance, emergency and egress (model GXU FK06 only) opening to a maximum of 90 degrees
• White polyurethane finish gives the interior frame a clean, moisture-resistant finish that blends into most ceilings
• GXU roof windows require a roof pitch between 15 and 85 degrees and cannot be installed on flat roofs
• Order an EDL FK06 flashing kit if you have a shingle, shake, or slate roof or an EDW FK06 flashing kit if you have a tile roof (flashing kits sold separately)
• Locking device keeps sash in open position
• Can be installed as a left-hinged or right-hinged roof access window
